Trying to use the same design everywhere doesn’t make much sense.
One thing we’ve noticed is that simple concrete often suits the natural surroundings better than finishes that demand attention.
Exposed aggregate can work beautifully alongside stone retaining walls.
Plain coloured concrete can complement modern homes without overwhelming the landscape.
The goal isn’t to copy another property.
It’s to make the concrete feel like it belongs exactly where it is.
Build for the next twenty years
Concrete should make life easier.
It should handle everyday traffic, Adelaide’s changing weather and the occasional surprise without constantly needing attention.
That starts well before the concrete truck arrives.
Good preparation.
Thoughtful drainage.
Proper reinforcement.
Enough time for curing.
Those things rarely appear in photos, but they’re what experienced concreters remember long after the job is complete.
